There’s not much known about New Jersey’s Memory Cassette. I can tell you what little I do know. For starters, the tracks are produced by Weird Tapes, which might be associated with Hail Social. Here’s his description:
“Prince had Vanity 6, I’ve got Memory Cassette.”
Also, they have a blog that not only features exclusive releases, but really cool artwork to go along with the downloads.
Falling somewhere in between M83 and Glass Candy, this is great late night, “psychedelic shoegaze disco” music. One listen to “Surfin” or “Listen to the Vacuum” and you’ll be hooked.
